Comments, corrections and questions about open space planning are always welcome. Write to [email protected] and a real person will read your message carefully.
When to write
- Corrections. If a fact on our open space pages is wrong or out of date, tell us. We check every claim against source documents and publish fixes promptly.
- Sources. If you hold planning documents, survey data or historic material relating to parks, playing fields or play provision, we would like to hear from you.
- Questions. If you want to know more about how assessments are carried out, see surveys and mapping, or read our background note on the shift from PPG17 to the NPPF.
- Projects. If you are working on parks, play and sport provision or children's play and think your experience belongs in these pages, get in touch.
What happens next
Messages are read by the editors of this journal. We reply to corrections first, then to questions. If your message raises a topic worth a longer treatment, we may follow up before publishing anything.
We keep no mailing lists and send no newsletters. Write to us only when you have something to say; we will reply only when we have something worth saying back.
Privacy on this site
This journal uses no cookies and applies no tracking. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which acts as the technical party for delivery. We do not collect analytics about visitors, and we do not share reader information with anyone, because we do not hold any.
A note on images
The photographs on this site are illustrations made for the journal. They show the kinds of places discussed in the text, not the specific sites under review, and they carry no survey data.
Historical material
Where older assessments and consultancies appear on these pages, they are described in the third person, as historical record. If you were involved in that work and can add context or correction, your account is welcome at [email protected].
Thank you for reading, and for helping keep this record accurate.
